Kuwait Municipality’s Department of Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy conducted an inspection campaign in Ahmadi Governorate, resulting in the removal of three unauthorized clothing collection bins and the issuance of two citations, officials announced on October 20. The campaign targeted violations related to the unauthorized use of public spaces in the Mangaf and Sabahiya areas.
Saad Al-Khureinej, Director of Ahmadi Municipality, stated that inspection teams also issued seven formal warnings during the field visits. The campaign’s primary objectives were to identify road occupancy infringements, enforce compliance with municipal regulations and bylaws, and pursue legal action against violators. Al-Khureinej emphasized that such inspections would continue across the municipality’s jurisdictions to maintain public order and safety.
Concurrently, Kuwait Municipality’s Environmental Affairs Department is carrying out the “Sustainable Impact” campaign in Hawally Governorate from October 18 to 22. The initiative seeks to promote environmental awareness and inculcate sustainable practices among municipal employees and the public. It focuses on encouraging behaviors that conserve resources, reduce waste, and protect the environment.
The campaign forms part of a broader municipal strategy to foster environmental responsibility and integrate sustainability into daily operations, with the long-term goal of preserving resources for future generations. Through activities and educational efforts, the initiative aims to build a culture of sustainability across government departments and the wider community.
