Brooklynn Fox, an 18-year-old dance major from I.M. Terrell Academy, is preparing to move to New York City to attend the Juilliard School, marking a significant step in her artistic journey. Fox’s dedication and meticulous approach to her craft played a crucial role in her acceptance to one of the world’s most prestigious performing arts institutions.

At I.M. Terrell, Fox worked closely with Christen Reyes, the academy’s director of dance, who observed her persistent effort to improve. According to Reyes, Fox was consistently focused on refining her technique, repeatedly practicing and adjusting movements such as arm placements, turns, and choreography combinations until they met her high standards.

This rigorous approach extended beyond in-person rehearsals to include Fox’s audition process. Unlike completing audition videos in a single take, Fox diligently reshot her performances multiple times for several top-tier programs, including the University of Southern California, Pace University, and ultimately Juilliard. The persistence paid off with her acceptance into Juilliard, a milestone underscoring her commitment to excellence in dance.
