The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has announced the closure of four Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) in the United Arab Emirates as of October 25, 2026. Passport, consular, visa, and attestation services for Indian nationals will continue at 12 remaining centres across the UAE, the embassy said in a statement posted on the social media platform X.
The consular services have been outsourced to Al Hind Tours & Travels, which will manage operations at the designated centres. The decision aims to streamline service delivery while maintaining access to essential consular and passport-related functions for the Indian community in the UAE.
The four centres that have ceased operations are located in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as well as Sharjah. They include the Musaffah area, Capital Mall in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, and Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, as well as Dubai Investment Park 1 and Al Majaz in Sharjah.
Services remain available at the following 12 centres across multiple emirates: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Kalba, and Khor Fakkan.
Indian nationals requiring consular services are advised to visit one of the operational centres. The embassy reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the continuity and efficiency of consular services throughout the UAE.
