The Indonesia Expo 2026 is set to take place on October 30 and 31 at Novotel Yangon Max, according to a press conference held by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Yangon on October 22. The two-day event will bring together a total of 58 exhibitors, including 39 Indonesian groups—comprising companies, educational institutions, and associations—and 19 Myanmar companies identified as Friends of Indonesia.
The expo will cover a diverse range of sectors, featuring exhibitions in aviation, banking, education services, traditional textiles and clothing, energy, fertilizers, and consumer goods. Additionally, products from the pharmaceutical and medical device industries will be on display, highlighting Indonesia’s industrial capabilities.
A key focus of the event is the education sector, which will present opportunities for Myanmar students to pursue studies in Indonesia. Scholarship programs aimed at facilitating academic exchanges will also be highlighted during the expo.
Organizers have emphasized that the Indonesia Expo 2026 is designed to promote Indonesian products and services while strengthening economic cooperation between Indonesia and Myanmar. By showcasing a variety of Indonesian business sectors and facilitating networking opportunities, the expo intends to foster enhanced trade relations and create avenues for business collaboration between the two countries.
