A peregrine falcon found injured on rocky terrain in Devon was rescued and received care from a local wildlife team. The bird, estimated to be about one year old, was discovered stranded near cliffs by Tristan Northway, a fisherman based in Brixham.

After coming across the falcon, Northway alerted marine wildlife specialists who took the bird into their care. Wildlife experts speculated that the falcon’s injuries might have resulted from a territorial dispute, noting that the young bird may have encroached on the domain of a dominant female peregrine falcon in the area.

Peregrine falcons are known for their territorial behavior, particularly during breeding seasons, which can lead to aggressive encounters. The intervention by local wildlife responders aimed to ensure the bird's recovery and eventual return to the wild.
