A man in his 30s was seriously injured in a stabbing incident on the Meadow Well estate in North Shields and subsequently fled the scene by boarding a Metro train. The victim traveled to Percy Main, where emergency services later found him outside a residence on Tuesday afternoon.
Northumbria Police received a report of an injured person in the Waterville Road area of North Shields at approximately 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the man suffering from serious wounds consistent with those caused by a bladed weapon. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
Authorities launched a manhunt for the suspects shortly after the incident; however, those responsible had already left the scene by the time police arrived. Officers remain actively engaged in the investigation and have called on the public to provide any information that could assist in identifying and locating the attackers.
