Authorities have dismantled an interstate illegal investment fraud call centre operating from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, resulting in the arrest of six individuals accused of duping investors through fake stock market and forex trading schemes. The operation was conducted by the Cyber Police Station of Dwarka District, Delhi, following an investigation into multiple cyber fraud complaints spanning several states.

The crackdown followed a complaint filed on July 5, 2026, by Sunil Kumar, a resident of Uttam Nagar, Delhi, who alleged he was cheated of Rs1.73 million. According to police, Kumar was persuaded to invest in an online trading platform under the pretext of stock and forex market investments. Initially, he traded in the Indian stock market to build confidence before being encouraged to invest in forex trading. The accused reportedly showed fabricated profits to induce Kumar to deposit increasing sums of money. When he sought to withdraw his funds, the suspects provided false reasons and later claimed trading losses, leaving Kumar with substantial financial losses. His investment activity began on March 30, 2026, before he realized the fraud.

Following the complaint, the Cyber Police team, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dwarka Kushal Pal Singh and Additional DCP Vikas Meena, launched a detailed technical investigation. Through analysis of mobile numbers used to contact the complainant, investigators traced the fraudulent operation to a call centre in Indore.

During the raid, police seized 28 computer units, 25 mobile phones, two Wi-Fi routers, one digital video recorder (DVR), and an audio-video recording camera. They also recovered more than 1,400 spreadsheets containing personal and financial details of thousands of investors, providing evidence of the extensive scale of the fraudulent activities.

The arrested individuals are alleged to have operated the call centre under the guise of a reputed investment and trading company, attracting victims across multiple states through deceptive online platforms. The authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and assist other potential victims linked to the call centre’s operations.
