The International Artists Group in Doha has donated 11 original paintings to Sudan’s embassy in the Qatari capital, highlighting themes of Sudanese heritage and resilience. The artworks have been incorporated into a permanent exhibition titled “Art: A Message of Peace, Love and Solidarity,” which features contributions from artists representing 10 different countries.

The exhibition aims to foster cross-cultural dialogue and mutual understanding through art. The donated pieces draw inspiration from various aspects of Sudanese life and broader African cultural motifs, reflecting both the beauty of Sudan’s identity and the challenges faced by those affected by conflict and displacement.

Sudan’s ambassador to Qatar, Badreddine Abdullah Mohammed Ahmed, expressed gratitude for the donation, characterizing it as a significant act of solidarity and cultural engagement. The artworks serve as a tribute not only to Sudan’s rich heritage but also to the resilience of its people amid ongoing difficulties.

Saeeda al-Badr, a Qatari multidisciplinary artist and chair of the Doha International Artists Group, spoke on behalf of the collective. She emphasized that the initiative was founded on the conviction that art transcends national and cultural boundaries and can cultivate human connection. “Art speaks a universal language,” she said, underscoring its role in building bridges and reminding people of their shared humanity.

The exhibition’s organizers underscored their shared commitment to conveying messages of hope, resilience, and fraternity through visual expression. By uniting artists from a broad range of backgrounds, the project seeks to promote compassion and solidarity with the Sudanese people during a period marked by hardship and upheaval.
