Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, in connection with a bombing that injured a sanctioned Ukrainian businessman and two family members in Monaco. The explosion occurred on Monday, targeting Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, who sustained shrapnel wounds along with his mistress and teenage son.
Authorities believe Berezovska is the primary suspect in the attack. Surveillance footage captured her leaving the scene disguised as a man wearing a bucket hat. Additional images show her in a striped T-shirt days before the incident. Officials suspect she may have fled to Germany, and investigators do not believe she acted alone.
Vadym Yermolaiev renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019. In 2023, the Ukrainian government imposed sanctions on him, citing his involvement in selling wine from the Russian-occupied Crimean region via Russian channels. The motive behind the bombing is believed to be related to these sanctions and his business activities.
Interpol’s effort to locate Berezovska includes cooperation with law enforcement agencies across Europe, aiming to prevent her evasion of justice. Meanwhile, investigations continue into possible accomplices and the circumstances surrounding the Monaco attack.
