Intertek, the global testing, inspection, and certification company, has reaffirmed its full-year guidance following a robust third quarter performance, ahead of its planned £9.5 billion private equity takeover by EQT. The FTSE 100-listed firm reported a 7 percent increase in revenues for the three months ending September, contributing to a 6.4 percent rise in revenue for the first nine months of 2026.
Although the company did not provide specific profit figures, it indicated strong margin improvement driven by a favourable divisional mix, pricing strategies, operating leverage linked to growth, disciplined cost management, and productivity enhancements. Intertek also described its cash flow as strong and noted that its return on investment remained excellent during the quarter, with expectations for continued performance stability through the full year.
Chief Executive André Lacroix expressed confidence in the company’s outlook for 2026, anticipating mid-single-digit like-for-like revenue growth on a constant currency basis, ongoing margin expansion, robust earnings growth, and solid free cash flow generation. The planned acquisition by EQT is expected to complete by the end of the first quarter of 2027, after which Intertek will be delisted from the London Stock Exchange.
