Gulf Capital Investment Company KSCC (InvestGB), the investment arm of Gulf Bank, has launched the Avaloq platform in Kuwait, marking the first deployment of the Swiss wealth management technology provider’s system in the country. The move aims to streamline InvestGB’s operations and enhance the digital experience for its individual and institutional clients across Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
By adopting Avaloq’s integrated solution, InvestGB has unified its wealth management, portfolio management, and fund administration functions onto a single platform. This consolidation is a key component of InvestGB’s wider digital transformation strategy, designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enable scalable growth.
Samer Obaid, Managing Director of Information Technology at InvestGB, described the launch as a significant milestone in the firm’s ongoing innovation efforts. He emphasized the platform’s role in strengthening wealth management capabilities and allowing staff to concentrate more on delivering value to clients. Jinnan Hussain, Senior Vice President of Information Technology at InvestGB, highlighted the close collaboration between technology and business teams during the implementation, noting the new infrastructure provides a stronger technical foundation and greater agility to support future expansion.
Avaloq’s regional Managing Director, Akash Anand, called the deployment a landmark achievement, underscoring the partnership with InvestGB and the platform’s potential to simplify operations and enhance efficiency. Anand also expressed optimism about continuing collaboration as InvestGB advances its digital agenda.
The launch arrives amid broader industry pressures within the GCC, where financial institutions face increasing demands to boost efficiency, comply with evolving regulatory frameworks, and control costs. InvestGB’s approach, moving away from fragmented systems toward a unified operating environment, presents a model for other regional firms seeking to accelerate innovation and reduce complexity through digital consolidation.
