Kuwait City authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an Asian expatriate who died after jumping from the ninth floor of a building in Salmiya. The incident occurred on the morning of June 13.

The Ministry of Interior received a report early Friday of a loud noise followed by the discovery of a body in front of a residential building in the Salmiya area. Officers from the Salmiya Police Station responded to the scene and confirmed the identity of the deceased through a security guard, who indicated that the individual had been living on the ninth floor of the building.

Colleagues of the expatriate noted that he had been struggling with psychological and family issues prior to the incident. Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact factors contributing to the man’s decision. No further details have been released at this time.
