Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi, commander of Iran’s army ground forces, has issued a stern warning to militant groups and other hostile actors operating near the country’s borders, emphasizing that any attempts to threaten Iranian territory will prompt a "decisive and crushing" military response. The remarks came during Jahanshahi’s visit to Iran’s northeastern frontier, where he reviewed the readiness and defensive posture of ground force units stationed along the border.
Jahanshahi underscored that Iran’s borders are a firmly protected "red line" for the country’s armed forces, and any hostile activity will trigger a robust retaliation. He highlighted the army’s enhanced capabilities, including drone and artillery systems, which can effectively target bases and positions of groups deemed threats to national security. The commander described the armed forces’ response as "swift, precise and deterrent," signaling a readiness to counter any aggression without hesitation.
According to Jahanshahi, the ground forces operate under continuous surveillance supported by an integrated intelligence command structure. This setup enables Iranian forces to monitor developments along the borders around the clock, identify hostile movements early, and neutralize potential threats before they escalate.
