Iran has denied any involvement in a suspected bomb plot at a Royal Air Force (RAF) base in the United Kingdom used by the United States. The denial was issued through Iran’s embassy in London following reports that authorities were investigating potential Iranian links to the incident.

The security scare occurred early Sunday at RAF Fairford, located in Gloucestershire, prompting police to arrest five men in their mid-20s nearby. UK counter-terrorism officials confirmed that all five individuals are British nationals.

In response to the suspected threat, approximately 85 households in the nearby village were evacuated and remained displaced overnight as police maintained a cordon around the area to conduct investigations.

The UK’s Interior Ministry has previously accused Iran and Russia of employing proxy actors to undertake criminal activities on British soil, though authorities have not publicly connected this particular incident to any specific foreign government at this stage.

Investigations remain ongoing as officials continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged bomb plot and the arrested individuals' motives and affiliations.
