Iran has issued new warnings over Israeli military flights in neighboring airspace and threatened responses to any actions it deems hostile to its national security. A statement from Iran’s military command condemned the movements and presence of Israeli military aircraft transiting the airspace of certain neighboring countries en route to Iran, labeling these acts as dangerous and threatening to the Islamic Republic.
The statement emphasized Iran’s right to respond to any perceived aggression, underscoring that Tehran will not tolerate threats to its sovereignty. It also criticized the United States, accusing Washington of failing to restrain Israel and warning that if the U.S. cannot control Israeli actions, Iran will exercise its right to defend itself.
These remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions following several military clashes involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. Tehran has consistently accused Washington of backing Israeli military operations targeting Iran.
In a related statement, Brigadier General Esmaeil Qaani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, called on Israel to withdraw from all Lebanese territory. Qaani described Lebanon as a “land of resistance and steadfastness,” warning that Israel’s occupation would ultimately end in defeat if it did not leave voluntarily.
Qaani invoked the religious symbolism of Ashura and Imam Hussein, stating that those inspired by such values remain committed to resisting occupation and that "every day is Ashura and every land is Karbala." He predicted that Israeli forces would be compelled to leave Lebanon, either voluntarily or through defeat.
He also referenced the late Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah’s 2000 speech in Bint Jbeil following Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon, asserting that Nasrallah’s promise of resistance remains relevant. Qaani expressed confidence that any future confrontation would produce a similar outcome, signaling continued Iranian support for the “resistance front” opposing Israeli military presence in the region.
These declarations reaffirm Iran’s stance that it will decisively counter any threats to its sovereignty and continue backing allied groups opposing Israeli operations, thereby maintaining the complex dynamics shaping security concerns across the Middle East.
