The upcoming International Exhibition of Building and Construction in Tehran, scheduled for August 18 to 21, is expected to bolster technological cooperation between Iran and South Korea, particularly in the area of building industrialization. Officials from both countries are engaged in negotiations aimed at enhancing collaboration, with an emphasis on advancing export opportunities and expanding commercial ties.

Mojtaba Mahallati, Deputy for Support and Planning at the Iran Cooperative Chamber, highlighted the exhibition’s role as a crucial platform for operationalizing a cooperation memorandum between Iran’s Ministry of Transport and Urban Development and South Korea. According to Mahallati, the agreement seeks not only to attract investment but also to facilitate the transfer of modern technologies and knowledge to Iranian experts specializing in construction industrialization.

Mahallati pointed to the potential benefits of combining local expertise with South Korea’s advanced technologies, suggesting this synergy could significantly accelerate construction timelines and improve project quality throughout Iran. The event will include specialized panels, training sessions, and the participation of nearly 1,000 companies from both domestic and international markets, underscoring its scale and importance for industry stakeholders.

This initiative represents a strategic effort by Iran to modernize its construction sector by integrating foreign technological advancements and expertise, thereby enhancing the nation’s capacity in building industrialization and infrastructure development.
