Isack Hadjar will be absent from the upcoming Italian Grand Prix due to a wrist injury sustained during the summer break, prompting Red Bull to once again field Liam Lawson in his place. The French driver, who is in his rookie season with Red Bull, had missed the previous race at Zandvoort because of the injury.

Lawson, a New Zealand driver, temporarily rejoined Red Bull after being released by the team following only two races last season. He returned to the Red Bull seat at Zandvoort two weeks ago, where he finished seventh. For the Italian Grand Prix, Lawson will continue to drive Hadjar’s Red Bull car, while Yuki Tsunoda takes over the Racing Bull entry.

Tsunoda, who lost his Red Bull-affiliated seat at the end of last year, has stepped back into the Racing Bull team for this season. At Zandvoort, he completed the race in 11th place. He will maintain his position in the Racing Bull car for the race in Italy, supporting Lawson’s return to the Red Bull lineup amid Hadjar’s ongoing recovery.
