At least nine Palestinians, including two children, were killed in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, health officials reported. The fatalities occurred in multiple incidents throughout the day, as Israeli military operations continued in the area.

An airstrike near a school in Gaza City claimed the life of one individual and injured several others. In the southern part of Gaza, another airstrike targeted displaced persons in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, resulting in four deaths, among them a 10-year-old child. Later, in the Zeitoun neighborhood, a 6-year-old boy was reportedly killed by Israeli gunfire.

Additional strikes in other parts of Gaza led to three more fatalities and several injuries. Medical personnel confirmed that at least 12 people were wounded in these attacks.

The Israeli military has not provided an immediate comment on the incidents. The violence marks a continuation of heightened tensions and military actions in Gaza, where frequent exchanges of fire have caused civilian casualties and widespread destruction.

The Palestinian health authorities have repeatedly highlighted the disproportionate impact of Israeli military operations on civilians, while Israel maintains that its actions target militant infrastructure and combatants. This cycle of violence underscores the persistent volatility in the region and the challenges toward achieving a lasting resolution.
