Israeli airstrikes in Gaza over the past two days have resulted in the deaths of at least a dozen people, according to local health officials, even as a ceasefire with Hamas has been in place for several months. On Wednesday, air raids struck central Gaza, killing three members of the same family, officials from Al Aqsa Hospital reported.

The previous day, an airstrike targeted a police station in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza, an area known for its dense population. Hospital authorities reported that the attack killed a woman and six police officers.

The Israeli military did not provide comments regarding the strikes in central and southern Gaza. However, in a statement addressing the Jabaliya incident, the military asserted that four of the police officers killed were Hamas militants, though it did not furnish evidence to support the claim.

These strikes come amid ongoing tensions and periodic hostilities despite the ostensibly sustained cessation of major combat operations between Israel and Hamas. The situation remains fluid, with civilian casualties raising concerns among local observers and international monitors.
