The ITEF Qatar Chapter commemorated Engineers’ Day 2026 with an event attended by over 275 participants at the Holiday Villa Hotel & Residence on September 10. Held under the theme “Engineering Beyond Boundaries,” the gathering highlighted the chapter’s growth and direction since its inception.
In his presidential address, Er. Karthik Kadappa A, Founding President of ITEF Qatar Chapter and Founding Director of ITEF Global, reviewed the chapter’s two-year trajectory, emphasizing its expanding professional network and outlining plans for future development. The occasion also marked the official launch of ITEF Qatar’s integration within the broader ITEF World platform.
The event’s chief guest was Eng. Ahmed Khaled Al-Sumaiti, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Qatar Society of Engineers (QSE). Eng. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Marzouqi, a board member of QSE, served as the guest of honour. Senior ITEF Global officials, including Er. C. Selvam, Managing Director of ITEF Global, were also present.
Highlights of the programme included presentations by Sivarajah Ramanathan, former Mission Director and CEO of StartupTN under the Government of Tamil Nadu, and CA Ashwin Sundar, a chartered accountant and advisor on growth and investment. Both speakers provided insights on startups, investment strategies, and business expansion.
The event also hosted leaders from several business and professional organizations, including the presidents of IBPC, ICC, ICBF, and ISC, along with representatives from the Qatar Society of Engineers and Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). Nine industry showcases were featured, presenting a range of products, technologies, and innovative solutions.
ITEF Qatar currently comprises over 1,111 members and collaborates with 25 industry partners. Since its founding, the chapter has organized 29 knowledge programmes aimed at fostering professional networking, knowledge sharing, and advancing innovation within Qatar’s engineering community.
