Jack Tweed, a reality television personality known for his appearances on Celebrity Big Brother and The Only Way Is Essex, has been banned from driving after admitting to driving under the influence of cannabis. The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on August 3, 2026.

The incident occurred on December 6, 2025, near Chelmsford, Essex, when Tweed was stopped while driving his Volkswagen Golf. Police conducted a roadside drug screening test, which he reportedly failed. Following this, Tweed was taken to a police station where a blood sample was taken. The analysis showed he had 5.6 micrograms of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active compound in cannabis, in his system—exceeding the legal limit of two micrograms.

In addition to receiving a 12-month driving disqualification, Tweed was fined £692. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £277 and legal costs totaling £85. The court’s decision reflects the enforcement of laws aimed at preventing drug-impaired driving in the United Kingdom.

Tweed, who is also known as the widower of the late Big Brother star Jade Goody, has largely kept a low profile following his reality TV career. The case adds to ongoing public discussions about drug use and road safety, with authorities emphasizing the importance of adhering to limits set for driving under the influence of controlled substances.
