Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habashi convened a coordination meeting on September 9 to address traffic issues linked to the start of the academic year, bringing together key representatives from several government ministries and agencies. The session included officials from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Public Works, General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior, and the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW).

Attendees included Mohammad Ghaleb Al-Khaldi, Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial and Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Education; Colonel Fahad Al-Jumaa, Director of Jahra Traffic Department; Faisal Abu-Duhoum, Head of the Urban Planning Department at PAHW; and Abdulrahman Al-Nawmas, representing the Ministry of Public Works.

The participants reviewed preparations for the opening of schools, focusing on traffic management and service-related measures to improve flow and safety for students and their families. Discussions covered the organization of vehicle entry and exit points, traffic routing near schools, and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations. Special attention was given to the road conditions and access points leading to schools in Jahra governorate.

Additionally, the meeting addressed ongoing projects and proposals previously submitted by Jahra Governorate aimed at road improvements and resolving congestion issues at various locations. Progress reports on current measures to maintain smooth traffic and efficient access within the road network were also presented.

Governor Al-Habashi emphasized the necessity of coordinated efforts among all involved entities, urging prompt completion of all required procedures. He highlighted the importance of continuous follow-up and collaboration to ensure full readiness for the academic year’s commencement. These steps are intended to establish a safer, more orderly traffic environment around schools and improve related public services in Jahra.
