Jake Quickenden and his wife, Sophie Church, have confirmed their decision to separate amicably after several years together. The couple, who married in 2022 and share two children, informed close friends and family of their split earlier this week.
Quickenden, known for his appearances on The X Factor, I’m A Celebrity, and Dancing On Ice, and Church, a social media influencer, began dating in 2018. After three years together, Quickenden proposed during a holiday in Rhodes in 2021, and the pair married the following year in Ibiza.
Sources close to the couple emphasized that despite the end of their marriage, the separation remains friendly and respectful. “There is still a huge amount of love and respect between them,” said a friend. The couple’s primary concern continues to be the well-being of their children, with both committed to co-parenting effectively and maintaining a supportive family environment.
According to those familiar with the situation, the split was preceded by long and honest conversations as the couple recognized they had grown apart over time. Nevertheless, they remain on good terms and are focused on the future as they navigate their new relationship dynamic.
Quickenden had previously spoken publicly about his affection for Church following their wedding, describing her as “an angel walking down the aisle” and sharing personal and lighthearted vows they wrote for each other. Despite the dissolution of their marriage, the tone of their separation reflects mutual respect and an ongoing commitment to their shared family life.
