James Acaster, the British comedian known for his distinctive wit and offbeat charm, has been in a long-term relationship with podcast producer Hannah Rose for several years, according to those close to the couple. The pair first connected while working together on the BBC podcast series *James Acaster’s Perfect Sounds*, which aired for two seasons between 2020 and 2022.

Hannah Rose, originally from Manchester, has an extensive background in the broadcasting industry, having previously worked in commissioning and development roles for BBC Comedy and BBC Sounds. The couple currently reside together and share their home with four cats named Terry, Alex, Roo, and Spider-Man.

Acaster recently gave some insight into their daily routine during an appearance on the New Cue newsletter, describing a typical day that revolves around caring for their cats, enjoying breakfast together, postponing exercise before eventually engaging in yoga or gym workouts later in the day, and ending the evening with a film.

Close friends and colleagues of Acaster have also embraced Hannah Rose. Comedians Ed Gamble and Nish Kumar were seen dining with James and Hannah in London in March, celebrating Gamble’s birthday at Quality Chop House before moving on to a nearby snooker venue. Additional social media posts from comedian Amy Annette, Nish Kumar’s partner, show the couple together at various gatherings, including a snapshot from Tottenham Court Road Tube station taken during Amy’s birthday celebrations. In one image, Hannah was spotted wearing a gold ring on her wedding finger, although representatives for Acaster have neither confirmed nor denied engagement or marriage rumors.

This relationship marks Acaster’s first publicly acknowledged serious partnership following his previous relationship with actress Louise Ford. Ford, who appeared in the West End production *Quartermaine’s Terms* alongside Rowan Atkinson in 2013, ended her relationship with Acaster that same year. Subsequently, Ford began dating Atkinson, with whom she now has a daughter.

While Acaster has maintained a relatively private personal life amid rising professional acclaim, his relationship with Rose appears longstanding and stable, supported by a close-knit circle of friends within the comedy community.
