Jason Reynolds, a prominent author recognized for his contributions to children’s and young adult literature, is making his debut in adult fiction with a new novel titled *Father, Father*. The book is scheduled for release in June by Scribner.

Reynolds, 42, known for award-winning works such as *All American Boys*, *Look Both Ways*, and *Long Way Down*, centers his latest novel on a cross-country road trip taken by two brothers. As they travel, they navigate complex emotions and memories related to their recently deceased father. The narrative explores the brothers’ differing perspectives as they come to terms with their relationship to their father, highlighting the nuanced reality that a single person can embody both flawed and admirable qualities simultaneously.

Describing the novel, Reynolds referred to it as “an intimate tale about journeying toward each other while also confronting the complicated truth that human beings can be both awful and graceful in the same life.” This work marks a significant shift for Reynolds, who has spent over a decade focusing on literature for younger audiences, expanding his repertoire to address adult themes and readers.
