Jati Tinggi Group Bhd has been awarded two contracts valued at a total of RM15.71 million by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) for projects involving underground and submarine power cable systems in Malaysia. The contracts, announced in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, cover work in the states of Selangor and Perlis.

The group’s wholly owned subsidiary, Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, secured a RM13.44 million contract to carry out the installation, testing, and commissioning of underground cables and related accessories for TNB’s Distribution Network within the Selangor Zone. The contract was accepted on October 2 and is scheduled to be completed within one year from the issuance of the official start work notice.

Separately, Jati Tinggi Holding, in a joint venture with Ventura IOT Sdn Bhd through an unincorporated 51:49 partnership, won a RM2.27 million contract. This project involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a distributed acoustic sensing system for TNB’s 132-kilovolt submarine power cable system linking Kuala Perlis and Teluk Apau.

Both contracts are part of TNB’s ongoing efforts to upgrade and expand its power distribution and transmission infrastructure to improve reliability and service efficiency. The use of advanced sensing technology in the submarine cable system reflects growing investment in monitoring and maintaining critical energy assets.
