A 61-year-old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his ex-wife in Norwich. Raymond Williams was convicted of fatally slashing the throat of 59-year-old Tania Williams on the night of January 17.

According to court proceedings at Norwich Crown Court, Williams was recorded on CCTV following Tania as she moved between bars during a night out. The attack occurred after Williams reportedly became jealous upon seeing his ex-wife speaking with another man. Neighbors reported hearing screams and a woman’s voice asking, “What are you going to do, kill me?” shortly before Tania was found dead at the scene.

Williams denied responsibility for the murder during the trial but was ultimately found guilty of the charge. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 27 years to be served before eligibility for parole.
