Jeremy Clarkson will continue as the host of the quiz show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" and its spin-off, "Millionaire Hot Seat," for an additional 35 episodes. The announcement follows Clarkson's recent disclosure that he had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer.
The 66-year-old television presenter revealed the diagnosis during episodes of his reality series "Clarkson’s Farm," where he discussed the early detection of the illness. In a subsequent interview, Clarkson confirmed that a PSA test conducted two months prior showed no signs of cancer and that he is now in remission.
ITV, which airs the "Millionaire" franchise, stated that "Millionaire Hot Seat," launched earlier this year, has been recommissioned for 20 more episodes with Clarkson continuing in the presenting role. The original "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" series will also return with Clarkson hosting the remaining 15 episodes.
This extension ensures that Clarkson remains the face of both quiz programs for the foreseeable future, despite his recent health challenges.
