Sean Ono Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, has become a father for the first time. Lennon, 50, and his long-term partner Charlotte Kemp Muhl, 39, recently welcomed a baby boy named Aurelius, sharing the news and photographs on social media.

On Wednesday evening, Lennon announced the birth with a message on Instagram, expressing gratitude and excitement. Alongside the announcement, he posted images including one of himself holding Aurelius wrapped in a white blanket, and another of Kemp Muhl with their son in a hospital room. Kemp Muhl, a musician and model, also shared early moments of parenthood, such as carrying Aurelius in a baby harness while walking in the water, holding a small crab, and caring for their newborn. In her posts, she commented on the challenges of sleep deprivation and the surreal experience of becoming a parent.

Julian Lennon, John Lennon’s eldest son from his first marriage to Cynthia, responded to the birth announcement with heart emojis on Instagram, to which Sean replied by referring to him as “Uncle Jules.”

Sean Lennon was born in Manhattan on October 9, 1975, which was also his father’s 35th birthday. This was just over five years before John Lennon, the iconic Beatles member, was fatally shot in December 1980. The year of John Lennon's death also saw the release of the album *Double Fantasy*, which featured the song "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)," written about his feelings toward fatherhood and watching Sean grow.

Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl met at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2005 and have been together since 2007.
