England batter Jos Buttler has become the highest run-scorer in the history of Twenty20 (T20) cricket, surpassing West Indies player Kieron Pollard. Buttler achieved this milestone during Manchester Super Giants’ (MSG) match against Welsh Fire in the Men’s Hundred tournament.

In the match held in Manchester, Buttler delivered a rapid unbeaten 51 runs off 20 balls, including two boundaries and six sixes, maintaining a strike rate of 250.00. This performance helped him overtake Pollard’s previous record of 14,803 runs in 746 matches. Buttler now holds 14,833 runs in 522 T20 games, highlighting a higher aggregate in significantly fewer innings.

Buttler’s tally also places him ahead of former West Indies star Chris Gayle, who had accumulated 14,562 runs in 463 matches. Gayle's career includes 22 centuries and 88 fifties, while Buttler has recorded nine centuries and 105 fifties in his T20 career.

Buttler’s achievement underscores his consistent scoring ability across domestic and international T20 formats, cementing his status as one of the leading batsmen in the shortest format of cricket.
