Located just steps from the Bloomfield Stadium light rail station in Tel Aviv, the Joseph Hotel TLV offers an affordable accommodation option that combines convenience with a personal touch. Situated on the edge of Jaffa, the hotel provides easy access to local attractions such as the nearby flea market, known as “shuk hapishpeshim,” the Jaffa clock tower, and an unofficial beach across the street.

The hotel occupies a single floor featuring 19 guest rooms designed with contrasting black marble floors and green-painted walls. Amenities include all-day coffee and fruit, as well as a breakfast selection that notably includes lox, a detail appreciated by many visitors. Room rates generally start below NIS 600 per night during the week, with children staying free.

Joseph Hotel TLV opened shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to an early closure. In the aftermath of the events of October 7, the hotel served as a temporary home for evacuees from Kiryat Shmona for two and a half years. According to co-owner Tzvi Dahan, this period fostered a strong sense of community among residents and staff. The hotel witnessed significant life events among its guests, from newborns' first smiles to engagements and even deaths, creating bonds that have persisted over time.

During the evacuees’ stay, many sought meaningful ways to contribute beyond government compensation. Some took on roles within the hotel, becoming night clerks, cooks, and security personnel, which helped maintain a familial environment. Dahan noted that Friday night meals, initially offered as catered takeout, evolved into communal gatherings when his family began joining guests to celebrate Shabbat at the hotel. This initiative contributed to the hotel receiving a special award for its efforts supporting evacuees.

After residents returned to Kiryat Shmona, several chose to relocate permanently to Tel Aviv and remained employed at the hotel. Prior to the pandemic and security incidents, the hotel's clientele typically split evenly between tourists and Israeli visitors, particularly on weekends. However, tourist numbers have since declined, leaving the hotel quieter during weekdays.

Despite these challenges, Joseph Hotel TLV emphasizes maintaining a warm, family-like atmosphere. Dahan emphasized that even while operating strictly as a hotel again, the establishment strives to offer guests a sense of genuine welcome and comfort, a quality frequently noted by visitors who say they feel at home.
