PUTRAJAYA — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will suspend all services provided through MYEG Group collection agents MyEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Bhd effective October 5 at 12:01 a.m. The decision comes after JPJ reviewed compliance issues and unresolved obligations under the agreements with the two companies.

JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli confirmed that all services offered via MYEG Group channels will cease from the specified date. However, he assured the public that JPJ services will remain available through official and alternative platforms, including JPJ counters and kiosks, the MyJPJ mobile application, post offices, and JPJ mobile counters.

Aedy Fadly noted that driving theory test (KPP01) bookings made through MYEG before October 5 will still be honoured. New bookings from October 5 onwards must be arranged directly with driving institute KPP test centres nationwide.

To accommodate non-Malaysians settling traffic summonses at the Malaysia-Singapore border, JPJ mobile units will operate payment facilities at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The JPJ director-general urged the public to use official channels to ensure transactions proceed securely and without issues, emphasizing the department’s commitment to orderly, transparent, and integrity-driven service delivery.

Reports indicate that Zetrix AI failed to remit collected payments for vehicle road tax renewals, driving license fees, and traffic summonses since the start of its contract in May 2023, resulting in alleged outstanding arrears amounting to around RM200 million. The suspension reflects JPJ’s actions in response to this situation and the need to safeguard public service operations.
