JPMorgan Chase is set to cut 244 jobs at its Plano call center as part of a consolidation effort, the company announced following a state-mandated WARN notice filing. The affected positions, primarily various levels of fraud specialists, are based at the bank’s office located at 8181 Communications Parkway, Building A.

The layoffs are scheduled to begin on August 21, with a 60-day notice period provided to employees as required by law. JPMorgan Chase has indicated that the impacted operations team will be integrated into the company’s larger existing facilities, reflecting a strategic move to streamline certain call center functions.

In a statement, JPMorgan Chase emphasized that workforce adjustments are part of ongoing reviews of business needs, with staffing levels shifted to align with current requirements. The company noted it continues to create new roles in various other areas and is actively working to redeploy employees affected by this reduction where possible.

The bank also highlighted its substantial presence in Plano, employing more than 12,500 individuals in the area. Moreover, it reported having over 800 open positions locally, indicating ongoing hiring efforts despite the planned job cuts.

Employees separated from their roles will be eligible for severance benefits under JPMorgan Chase’s severance plan. The company also committed to assisting affected workers in securing other positions within the organization, provided they meet qualification criteria.
