Senior Justice Hani Al-Hamdan, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation in Kuwait, held separate meetings with key government officials to discuss enhancing cooperation between judicial authorities and other state institutions. On Sunday, Al-Hamdan met with Dr. Rana Al-Fares, Chairperson of the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), along with members of Nazaha’s Board of Directors, to explore closer institutional collaboration.
The discussions centered on supporting Nazaha’s mandate to uphold integrity, combat corruption, and promote transparency across public entities. Both parties exchanged views on ways to strengthen ties and improve coordination in efforts aimed at safeguarding good governance in Kuwait.
In a separate meeting, Al-Hamdan engaged with Justice Salah Al-Majed, President of the Fatwa and Legislation Department, and his delegation. The two sides examined prospects for expanded cooperation in legal and judicial matters, focusing on bolstering the department’s work and fostering stronger institutional integration.
The talks highlighted plans to develop Kuwait’s litigation system, enhance the efficiency of legal procedures, and promote improved collaboration among agencies involved in administering justice. These efforts align with Kuwait’s broader agenda to modernize its judiciary and reinforce the effectiveness of its legal framework.
The Supreme Judicial Council emphasized that these meetings demonstrate its commitment to advancing institutional relationships and opening communication channels among the various relevant authorities. It noted that such coordination not only serves the public interest but also contributes to the ongoing development of the country’s justice system.
