Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Judiciary have formalized an agreement to enhance collaboration on international legal matters, including joint legal actions and professional training. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, and Hassan Abdolianpour, Head of the Judiciary’s Lawyers’ Center.
The agreement aims to improve coordination between the two institutions in handling expert assessments, legal proceedings, and the exchange of technical and educational expertise. This cooperation is intended to support Iran’s efforts in pursuing international legal cases, particularly those involving alleged transgressions by foreign governments.
At the signing event, Gharibabadi highlighted the role of expert reports in providing crucial evidence to document damages Iran claims to have suffered. He emphasized that such assessments are essential in substantiating Iran's legal claims related to actions attributed to the United States and Israel. The Deputy Foreign Minister noted that the documentation prepared by the Judiciary’s Lawyers’ Center would form foundational evidence to support Iran’s cases in international judicial forums.
The memorandum also focuses on facilitating legal processes addressing incidents linked to Iran’s “martyred Leader,” referring to specific assassination cases. Both parties stressed that the closer institutional cooperation established by this agreement would strengthen Iran’s ability to pursue legal recourse for these acts on international platforms.
