Julia Bradbury, the former presenter of Watchdog and Countryfile, is facing financial difficulties amid her ongoing battle with breast cancer. Her production company, Matron Productions, has entered liquidation, reportedly owing £425,671, much of which stems from unpaid tax penalties.

Bradbury, known for her walking-themed television shows on ITV, has seen a reduction in her on-screen appearances since her breast cancer diagnosis in 2021. Her treatment involved a mastectomy to remove a 6cm tumor from her left breast. The experience prompted a significant lifestyle change after years of frequent filming, during which she described surviving on convenience foods and sugary snacks despite maintaining a slim figure.

Since her diagnosis, Bradbury has returned to television, presenting the ITV documentary "Julia Bradbury: Breast Cancer And Me" in 2022 and participating in the 2023 edition of "The Real Full Monty."

Matron Productions, which Bradbury runs alongside her sister Gina, was placed into liquidation last month. Insolvency specialists Begbies Traynor were appointed to oversee the winding-up process.

Bradbury’s representatives were contacted for comment but have yet to respond.
