The Ministry of Justice in Kuwait reported a significant increase in judicial and enforcement activities during April, with over 500,000 procedures and transactions recorded across various sectors. The figures, released by the ministry’s Statistics and Research Department, reflect rising demands on judicial services and growing use of electronic platforms.
The Enforcement General Department accounted for the bulk of the caseload, processing 417,172 procedures. Among these, enforcement requests targeting debtors’ assets held by third parties were the most frequent, totaling 102,773 cases or nearly a quarter of the department's transactions. Conversely, arrest warrants issued for debtors were minimal, with only two recorded in the month, and no new or renewed warrants processed.
Geographically, the Capital Governorate registered the highest volume of completed procedures, representing 32.2 percent of the total. This was followed by Jahra Governorate at 16.2 percent and Al-Ahmadi Governorate at 16.1 percent. The remaining activities were spread across Kuwait’s other governorates and external judicial centers.
The data indicates an expanding workload within Kuwait’s judicial and enforcement systems, underscoring the growing reliance on digital services to manage the increasing procedural volume efficiently.
