Kamco Invest has secured six awards at the 2026 LSEG Lipper Fund Awards, recognizing the outstanding performance of its Kamco Investment Fund across multiple categories. The awards, which cover the MENA markets, underscore the fund’s strong risk-adjusted returns relative to comparable funds over various time horizons.

The Kamco Investment Fund was honored as the Kuwait 2026 winner in both the MENA Markets and MENA Markets Domestic categories. It received accolades for “Best Equity Fund” over three, five, and ten years. As of April 30, 2026, the fund reported returns of 35.3% over three years, outperforming its benchmark of 34.2%. Over five years, it generated 69.0%, well above the benchmark return of 54.5%. The ten-year performance stood at 205.2%, compared with a benchmark return of 164.8%.

Salah Al Wuhaib, Managing Director of Equity and Fixed Income at Kamco Invest, noted that this marks the fourth consecutive year the firm has received recognition from the LSEG Lipper Fund Awards. He attributed the fund’s success to a consistent investment philosophy and an active management strategy designed to deliver sustainable, long-term value to clients. Al Wuhaib also highlighted the resilience of Kamco’s investment framework amid diverse market conditions, emphasizing the solid performance of both conventional and Islamic Kuwait-focused funds.

Commenting on the broader market context, Otto Christian Kober, Head of Lipper Research at LSEG Data & Analytics, acknowledged the challenging environment faced by fund managers over the past three years. This period saw significant fluctuations in base interest rates and complicated monetary policies aimed at addressing inflation, uneven global growth, and geopolitical tensions. Kober stressed that the key to durable investment success lies in a disciplined process rather than market timing or prediction, praising the 2026 award winners for delivering consistent outperformance despite volatility.
