Bengaluru – The Karnataka Legislative Assembly premises hosted an anti-terror mock drill conducted by the National Security Guard (NSG) in collaboration with the Karnataka Police on Thursday. The exercise aimed to simulate counter-terror operations and enhance preparedness in the event of a security threat within the assembly complex.

During the drill, NSG commandos demonstrated tactical response measures designed to neutralize potential terrorist incidents swiftly and efficiently. The exercise included coordinated actions between the NSG special forces and state police personnel, emphasizing rapid intervention and area control.

Officials from both agencies underscored the importance of such joint drills for strengthening security protocols in sensitive government locations. The mock drill also provided an opportunity to test communication channels, operational readiness, and coordination mechanisms in a controlled environment.

While the Karnataka Legislative Assembly has previously been a target of security concerns, the current drill reflects ongoing efforts to bolster counter-terrorism capabilities and ensure the safety of lawmakers, staff, and visitors. The exercise concluded with assessments from senior officials, aimed at identifying areas for further improvement in security infrastructure and response strategies.
