Katie Price, the television personality and former glamour model, testified at Lewes Crown Court regarding her emotional struggle following allegations against her ex-husband, Kieran Hayler, who is currently on trial for multiple counts of rape and sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl. The alleged offenses are said to have occurred between June and October 2016 at a residence in West Sussex.

During her testimony, Price described experiencing a mental breakdown after learning that Hayler had expressed romantic feelings toward the underage girl. She recounted discovering text messages in May 2017 in which Hayler told the girl he loved her, a revelation that shocked her deeply. Price explained that while she was accustomed to infidelities from Hayler—including a highly publicized affair with the family’s nanny, Nikki Brown—the involvement of a child represented a profoundly different and disturbing situation.

Price said she sought treatment at the Priory after struggling to cope with the combined stress of Hayler’s repeated cheating and the serious allegations involving the minor. She detailed an occasion when, while Hayler was intoxicated, she accessed his phone using his fingerprint and found email exchanges between Hayler and Brown discussing the girl. According to Price, the messages revealed Brown questioning Hayler about his declarations of love toward the child, to which Hayler reportedly responded that his feelings for the girl were “in a different way” from those for Brown.

The witness stated she had informed social workers of the girl’s claims and that Hayler had purchased gifts for the girl using money belonging to Price. Price and Hayler married in 2013 but separated in 2018, with their divorce finalized in 2021. She characterized Hayler’s behavior as manipulative, alleging that he would convince women he pursued that he was the victim while discrediting her accounts.

Hayler, 39, denies all charges of rape and sexual assault. The trial has been conducted publicly at Lewes Crown Court following a media challenge against a prosecution request for a private hearing. The alleged victim is not related to either Hayler or Price and remains anonymous due to legal restrictions. Proceedings are ongoing.
