Katie Price, the British media personality, has opened up about her troubled childhood and complex love life in a new documentary titled *Katie Price: Nothing To Hide*. The 48-year-old, currently married to businessman Lee Andrews, discusses how her pursuit of love has profoundly influenced her life amid a career marked by public scrutiny.
In the four-part series, Price reflects on the impact of her parents’ divorce and sexual abuse during her youth, experiences she says have shaped her vulnerability and relationships. She recounts a traumatic incident at age seven, when she was attacked by a paedophile in a park but was rescued by two children who alerted the police. Price describes how a pattern of abuse and exploitation by men has affected her over the years, contributing to her complicated emotional landscape.
Price rose to fame under the pseudonym Jordan, embracing a glamour modelling career that she says was driven by a desire for attention and control. “I wanted people to want me... but the most powerful thing about it is they couldn’t touch me, it’s just a picture,” she explains. Despite her public image, she acknowledges undergoing therapy to address the lasting effects of her childhood trauma.
Her romantic history has been equally public and tumultuous. Price has been married four times and engaged five times, with several former partners appearing in the documentary, including semi-professional footballer Gary Bolingbroke, pop singer Dane Bowers, Gareth Gates, and Alex Reid, as well as her two eldest children, Junior and Princess Andre.
Price’s relationship with Bolingbroke began in her early years but ended abruptly in 1996 after she started seeing footballer Teddy Sheringham. That relationship was short-lived, and she later fell deeply in love with Dane Bowers. Both Price and Bowers describe their relationship as intense though it was strained by his disapproval of her glamour modelling, particularly her topless photoshoots. Bowers requested she stop, a condition Price initially accepted, but afterward, jealousy following his collaboration with Victoria Beckham led her to resume topless work and ultimately to their breakup. Price recounts feeling devastated to the point of contemplating suicide after their split.
Following that, Price dated Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke, with whom she conceived her eldest child, Harvey, although the relationship ended when Yorke left. In 2002, she entered a brief romance with then-17-year-old Gareth Gates, whom she met as he rose to fame on *Pop Idol*. Gates admits to genuine feelings but describes the relationship as moving too quickly. Price later expressed regret over a media interview where she discussed their intimate life.
Price’s most high-profile relationship was with Peter Andre, whom she met during *I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!* in 2004. They married in 2005 and share two children, Junior and Princess, but divorced in 2009.
More recently, Price has been diagnosed with ADHD and is learning to manage the impulsive behaviors linked to it. She states that while she can control some tendencies, she believes her personality remains unique and unapologetic.
Throughout the documentary, Price illustrates how her personal history and search for love have intertwined with her public persona, offering an unvarnished look at a life shaped by both adversity and resilience.
