The 2025–2026 volleyball league in Kuwait resumed on October 20 after a suspension lasting nearly a month due to regional developments in the Gulf. The restart featured two matches spanning the Premier League and First Division at the Kuwait Volleyball Association Hall within the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex.
In Premier League competition, Kazma returned to action with a commanding 3–0 win over Qadsia, signaling the team’s strong intent following the interruption. Meanwhile, in the First Division, Al-Nasr secured a narrow 3–2 victory against Al-Sahel in a match that extended to a decisive fifth set.
League fixtures are scheduled to continue with two Premier League matches on October 21. Kazma will face Sulaibikhat at 5 p.m., followed by Qadsia’s encounter with Al-Arabi at 7 p.m., both held at the same indoor sports complex. The First Division is set to resume on Sunday with Al-Shabab facing Al-Sahel, and Al-Yarmouk competing against Al-Nasr.
The Kuwait Volleyball Association’s Competitions Committee is actively working to finalize the remaining matches from the interrupted season while preparing for the upcoming 2026–2027 campaign. Committee chairman Aref Al-Subaihi noted that preparations are progressing steadily to conclude the current season and ensure the smooth start of the next.
Al-Subaihi emphasized that all committees are ready to fulfill their responsibilities with full support from the association’s board of directors. He highlighted the committee’s commitment to creating the necessary conditions for successful domestic competitions, maintaining a high standard of organization for all matches.
Looking ahead, Al-Subaihi expressed optimism that the revised schedule would provide a competitive environment to make up for the earlier disruption and enable clubs and athletes to return to peak form. The association aims to deliver a season that meets these goals while fostering the continued growth of volleyball in Kuwait.
