Wynne Hindle, a 52-year-old grandmother from Sudbury, Suffolk, has successfully passed her GCSE mathematics exam after five attempts, demonstrating persistence over a span of four years. Hindle achieved a grade four pass at West Suffolk College’s adult learning centre in Bury St Edmunds, where she prepared for the exam during the 2022-23 academic year.

A former nanny and nursery nurse, Hindle is now focused on pursuing a career in education, aiming to work as a teaching assistant or learning support officer in a primary school. She described her determination as a key factor in her success, saying she found it difficult to give up and resolved to keep trying until she achieved her goal.

Hindle expressed gratitude toward the college and her tutor, crediting their support throughout her learning journey. West Suffolk College, which is part of the Eastern Education Group, provides educational opportunities for adult learners looking to enhance their skills and qualifications.
