James Farthing, a Kentucky resident who won a $167 million Powerball jackpot, was arrested early Sunday morning in Georgetown on suspicion of driving under the influence, marking his fifth arrest since claiming the prize.

Law enforcement officials responded around 3 a.m. after receiving a report from a caller about a white Ford Mustang stopped in the middle of an intersection. According to the report, the vehicle later moved to a Walmart parking lot, where deputies found Farthing asleep inside the running car.

Officers had to repeatedly knock on the window to rouse Farthing, who was alone in the vehicle at the time. An arrest citation described signs of impairment including the odor of alcohol and marijuana, bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech, and difficulty keeping his balance, according to the arresting officer.

Farthing’s multiple encounters with law enforcement since his lottery win have raised concerns about his behavior following his sudden financial gain. Authorities have not released further details regarding the charges or any upcoming court proceedings.
