Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd (KPGB) has secured a contract worth RM37.82 million for a construction project in Penang. The contract was awarded by Persada Mentari Sdn Bhd to KPGB’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd (KPM), for piling and substructure works related to a proposed affordable apartment development located at Bandar Tanjung Pinang, Pulau Andaman.
According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the project is scheduled to commence on October 1, 2026, and is expected to be completed within 24 months from the start date. KPGB stated that the acceptance of this contract falls within the normal course of business for KPM and was negotiated on an arm’s length basis under standard commercial terms. The company emphasized that these terms are consistent with those generally available to the public and are not more favorable than typical industry agreements.
The project aligns with ongoing efforts to increase affordable housing options in the region, contributing to development in Bandar Tanjung Pinang. The construction works will involve foundational piling and structural subworks, critical stages for ensuring the stability and integrity of the apartment complex.
This contract award represents an addition to KPGB’s portfolio of construction projects and reflects continued activity in the Malaysian property development sector. Both parties have affirmed that the transaction is conducted transparently and with adherence to prevailing commercial practices.
