KESM Industries Bhd reported a significant increase in earnings for the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2026, driven primarily by growing demand for its services related to artificial intelligence (AI) chips. The outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing company posted a net profit of RM2.81 million for the quarter, marking an increase of more than 11 times compared to the same period a year earlier. This translated to earnings per share of 6.53 sen. Revenue for the quarter rose 15% year-on-year to RM61.51 million.
For the full financial year ending July 31, 2026, KESM recorded a net profit of RM9.45 million, a substantial turnaround from a net loss of RM8.19 million in the previous year. Annual revenue increased by 6% to RM222.78 million.
The company attributed its improved financial performance to investments in quality systems, operational excellence, and productivity enhancements, which are intended to support its capability to handle the growing complexity and performance demands of AI-related semiconductor products.
Following the positive results, KESM declared a second interim dividend of 4.5 sen per ordinary share, which will be paid on October 29, 2026, with the ex-dividend date set for October 6, 2026.
