The National Football League has adjusted the kickoff time for the Chicago Bears’ Week 5 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, moving the game to 12 p.m. on October 11 at Lambeau Field. The contest was originally scheduled for a 3:25 p.m. start. This change marks the first Bears-Packers meeting since their wild-card playoff game last season at Soldier Field.

Originally, four games were slated to begin in the 3 p.m. hour during Week 5. With this adjustment, only three games will now kick off at that time. The league opted not to shift another matchup into the vacated 3:25 p.m. slot, which could increase viewership for the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks set for that hour.

The Packers enter the game with a 1-2 record, facing ongoing challenges after beginning the season with struggles and still missing key defensive player Micah Parsons due to injury. The Bears hold a 2-1 record following an unexpected victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, a game in which third-string quarterback Case Keenum led the offense.

Meanwhile, Chicago’s starting quarterback, Caleb Williams, remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. Bears head coach Ben Johnson described Williams’ status as “week to week,” with no definitive timeline for his return. Prior to facing the Packers, the Bears are scheduled to host the New York Jets this Sunday at Soldier Field in Week 4.
