A man accused of murdering his wife and two daughters in Bedford has been arrested in South Africa, authorities confirmed. Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, faces three counts of murder following the deaths of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, also known as Zandile, and their daughters, Natalie, 15, and Nala, five. The family was found deceased inside their £1.3 million detached home in Great Denham, near Bedford, after concerns were raised last Monday when they had not been seen for several days.

Tshuma, a British citizen of Zimbabwean descent who uses the name Mark, reportedly left the United Kingdom two days before the victims were discovered. He was located and apprehended in Kensington, Johannesburg, through coordinated efforts between South African and British law enforcement agencies. South African Police Service officials credited the arrest to “swift operational coordination and intelligence-led policing.”

Following Tshuma’s arrest, the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service authorized charges against him. Bedfordshire Police stated that he had been remanded into custody in South Africa. Arrangements are in progress to extradite Tshuma to the UK to face further investigation and questioning related to the case.
