Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index recorded a modest gain on Tuesday, closing at 11,036.25 points, up 11.52 points or 0.1 percent from the previous session. Trading activity on the benchmark index involved a total turnover of 3.21 billion Saudi riyals ($856 million), with approximately 164.02 million shares traded across 272 listed companies. Among these, 92 advanced in value, while 160 declined, according to data from the Saudi Exchange.
The MSCI Tadawul 30 Index also edged higher, gaining 1.24 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 1,481.58. In contrast, the parallel Nomu market experienced a decrease, slipping 34.63 points, or 0.16 percent, to finish at 21,706.67.
Sector highlights included Banan Real Estate Co., which led the session’s performance by rising 8.02 percent to 3.50 riyals per share. Other notable gainers were Saudi Industrial Development Co., which gained 6.01 percent to close at 17.29 riyals, Najran Cement Co. with an increase of 5.53 percent to 5.92 riyals, Knowledge Economic City Co. rising 4.72 percent to 20.42 riyals, and Leejam Sports Co., which added 3.9 percent to reach 80 riyals.
On the downside, National Gypsum Co. registered the largest decline, falling 3.57 percent to 12.70 riyals. Saudi Vitrified Clay Pipes Co. dropped 2.78 percent to 19.94 riyals, while Jadwa REIT Saudi Fund declined 2.11 percent, closing at 9.30 riyals.
Among corporate developments, Knowledge Economic City Co. announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Kaden Investment Co. The collaboration seeks to advance the SR2.5 billion (approximately $666 million) Multaqa Al-Madinah 2 project, a mixed-use development expected to feature about 1,527 residential units along with commercial and office spaces. This initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to expand urban infrastructure and real estate offerings in the region.
