KIP Real Estate Investment Trust (KIP-REIT) reported a 19.6% increase in revenue for the first quarter ended September 3, 2026, reaching RM48.8 million, up from RM40.8 million in the same period a year earlier. The growth was driven by improved performance across its KIPMalls portfolio and contributions from newly acquired properties.

Net property income (NPI) rose 17.6% year-on-year to RM35 million, compared with RM29.7 million previously, supported by stronger earnings from both retail and industrial assets. Despite the revenue growth, profit after tax remained stable at RM17.3 million. Distributable income was reported at RM17.6 million for the quarter.

The retail segment continued to be the largest revenue generator for KIP-REIT, contributing 93.3% of total revenue in the quarter. Retail revenue increased 17.5% year-on-year to RM45.5 million, while retail NPI improved 14.5% to RM31.7 million.

KIP-REIT’s respective growth reflects its ongoing strategy of portfolio expansion and asset enhancement, which has bolstered revenue streams amid a recovering retail environment.
